Join me Ian Bland for a fun, high-energy 90-minute online poetry workshop designed especially for primary schools to celebrate National Poetry Day 2026.
On Thursday 1st October at 9.30am, your pupils will become part of a huge national literacy event as schools from across the UK come together for an unforgettable morning of poetry, creativity and performance.
This isn’t a passive Zoom session — it’s a lively, interactive workshop packed with laughter, imagination and audience participation from start to finish.
Children will enjoy performances of Ian’s most popular funny poems before being guided step-by-step to create and perform their own original poem during the session.
