Poetry CPD and Training for Teachers

Poetry is now an important and central pillar of the new literacy curriculum in England and Wales. It can be used as a powerful tool to help children to significantly improve their reading, writing and oracy skills with a new emphasis on children learning and PERFORMING either poetry written by themselves or that of professional children’s writers.

My new poetry CPD training empowers primary teachers and teaching assistants with a multitude of practical and fun ideas and techniques for using poetry as a learning tool not just in literacy but across the whole primary curriculum in KS1 and KS2.

Poetry CPD training events are available in two formats:

• A practical and activity based intensive 2 hour twilight written especially for primary teachers and teaching assistants in KS1 and KS2
• A whole INSET day details of which are below
